The Vivekananda University will also offer the courses through a credit accumulation system, thereby enabling students to learn at their own pace. Credits can be accumulated for each module consisting of specific theory papers and practical activities. A student has an option to complete the course in one academic year or over a period of 4 years by accumulating credits for various modules. A total course work of 1140 hours in the face-to-face mode is mandatory for the completion of the B.Ed./M.Ed. course.

Medium of Instruction for B.Ed. and M.Ed. courses: The medium of instruction will be English.

Methodology: The methodology of the course includes lectures, project work, discussions, exposure- visits to different rehabilitation projects, participation in community meetings, medical camps and community development programmes, practice-teaching and internship in the disability intervention programmes at the grassroot level.

Passing Minimum: The passing minimum for the BEd and MEd courses is 40% in theory, in both internal and external evaluation, 50% in practicum, and 50% in aggregate in both theory and practicum.
