Diploma in Community-Based Rehabilitation

Eligibility: A candidate shall be eligible for admission provided the candidate has passed 10+2 examination of any State.
Duration: The course is for a period of one academic year with 200 working days, providing for a maximum of 1200 instructional hours.
Medium of Instruction: The medium of instruction will be English.
Course of study: The course of study shall include the following:
Part I : Theory papers - 6 x 70 Hours - 420 Hours
Part II : Practical - 450 Hours
Part III : Internship under supervision - 330 Hours
Methodology: The methodology of the course includes lectures, project work, discussions, exposure visits to different rehabilitation projects, participation in community meetings, medical camps and community development programmes, practice teaching and internship in the disability intervention programmes at grassroot level.
Passing minimum: The passing minimum shall be 40% in both internal and external evaluation, and 40% in the aggregate of each paper in Part I Theory. The Part II Practical will be evaluated internally for a total of 400 marks. There will be an examination by external examiners and will be assessed for 200 marks. A candidate will be declared to have passed the practical and internship if he/she obtains not less than 40% of the aggregate. |
